Carrie Silva is a teacher with Chatom Union School District. She has been teaching for 11 years with 10 of those years taught at the middle-school level. Carrie was a finalist for Stanislaus County's Teacher of the Year in 2016. Her project involving video game programming in 8th grade math was featured on Good Day Sacramento and ABC News 10 in 2016. In 2015, the project was featured in the Modesto Bee. Mrs. Silva was deemed a certified STEM instructor by BootstrapWorld.org in 2014. She regularly incorporates STEM instruction into her 8th grade math class and loves surprising her students with fun and creative lessons.
